O/P. 202 lots all illustrated in colour. The star of the sale was a magnificent 18th century English musical mantel clock with automata modelled as an Indian elephant with howdah. Other fine lots included a bracket clock by Edward East, a Vulliamy bracket clock with Royal provenance and several marine chronometers. A good copy with a few annotations in ink. Card covers. O/P. 104 lots all illustrated in colour including a marine chronometer by Thomas Earnshaw that was previously owned by John Ross, famous for his arctic explorations. The sale included a fine French longcase regulator by Mesnil freres with equation of time indication and lots of English longcase and backet clocks. A good copy with annotations in ink. Card covers.
