O/P. Seven issues, each of over 200 pages, of Asian Sources Timepieces magazine, an English language trade publication published in Hong Kong. The magazines purpose was to promote the sale of (mainly quartz) clocks, watches and related items (calculators with a built in clock, and watch straps, for example) to the English speaking world. The advertisers are all based in Asia (Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, Pakistan, etc) and illustrate an enormous range of items. The editorial articles discuss the state of the market, what's new, etc. The issues are dated June 1984, September 1987, March 1988, August 1988, February 1989, July 1989 and March 1990 and provide a historical window into the 1980's market for low cost quartz timepieces. Tremayne (A.) editor: The Watch & Clock Maker - November 1932
O/P. 36 pages, illustrated, 1932. A single issue of this monthly magazine similar in style to the Horological Journal. This issue has two articles of interest - London's New Horological School at the Northampton Polytechnic and The "Crusader" Watch. The latter was a pocket watch built so that when repair was needed the old movement was simply exchanged for a replacement in a matter of minutes. A good copy, paper covers now loose.
