Smith (A.): A Catalogue of Tools for Watch and Clock Makers by John Wyke of Liverpool
O/P. 153 pages, illustrated, 1978. This excellent book, with introduction and commentaries by Alan Smith, has a facsimile reprint of the first known horological tool catalogue which was issued by John Wyke between 1758 and 1770. All 54 engraved plates are included together with photographs of existing tools by Wyke and Wyke & Green. A very good copy, with fair dust jacket. (Ref: K788 - G5)

Surrey Dane (E.): Peter Stubs and the Lancashire Hand Tool Industry
O/P. 291 pages, illustrated, 1973. The story of how Peter Stubs of Warrington, a file maker by trade, had the vision to organise the production and distribution of tools in South West Lancashire. He founded a business which was still in existence when the book was written 175 years later. Good copy, the dust jacket a bit worn. (Ref: K370 - F2)
