A book about Sultan Abdul Hamid II and the 7 clock towers, built in the Land of Israel circa 1900, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his reign as Sultan of the Ottoman empire. O/P. 1 page, 2 illustrations, 1913. A photograph of an old clock dial, and a print taken from back of the copper dial plate which has an engraving of three people - reputedly Joseph, Mary and a young Jesus. O/P. 158 pages, illus., 1979. The first 114 pages contain 5 chapters on the observatory at Kassel and the work of Jost Bürgi who made mechanical globes and other instruments for it. The remainder of the book is the catalogue of an exhibition held to celebrate Bürgi's life 400 years after he worked at Kassel.
