This is a facsimile reprint of Earnshaw's appeal to the Board of Longitude for a reward for his inventions, first published in 1808, with a new introduction by John Griffiths. A fine copy (bookplate inside front cover), leather spine/marbled boards complete with the original film wrapper (now with a few tears and small area of loss).

The chasers worked for all the leading watchmakers of the day including George Graham, the Ellicotts and Thomas Mudge. A fine copy with very good dust jacket.
