A Century of Fine Carriage Clocks

Author: J. Fanelli & C. Terwilliger

224 pages, illustrated.

This impressive volume features one hundred of the most sought-after carriage clocks in America that are still in private collections, each beautifully photographed in colour. Often several views of a clock are given to show parts of the case, fine engraving, enamelling or other features in greater detail.

There is a description of each clock and its special features, inlcuding country of origin, approximate age, style of case and type of movement. The clocks are chiefly French, but there is a good representation of carriage clocks made in England, Switzerland and Austria.
