Best wishes for a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year. Hopefully, now that vaccinations against the Covic-19 virus are commencing in many countries, we will all be able to resume normal life in the second half of the year.

The main news this month is that Britain and the European Union have agreed a trade deal. As I write this the details are unclear, but my understanding is that the impact from 1 January 2021, for EU clients, will be that buyers of parcels from England will be charged VAT (sales tax) at the point of import (this the same as what happens now if you buy items from outside the EU). I also expect courier charges for parcels to the EU to rise because of delays at EU customs.

The other news is that the British Royal Mail has increased its prices to many destinations worldwide from 1 January 2021. The new postage rates are included on our website.
