[Greeting: pretext="Dear" field="F" alttext="Hello"],

The transition period for Britain leaving the European Union ends on 31st December 2020 and the prospect of a trade deal between Britain and the EU, as I write this, looks increasingly unlikely. Without a deal the impact for EU clients will be that buyers of parcels from England will be charged VAT (sales tax) at the point of import. A knock on effect will be that courier charges to the EU are likely to rise because of delays at EU customs. EU residents may wish to order books soon, so that we can ship them before Christmas. I will update this message in the January newsletter when things are clearer.

Christmas will soon be upon us so listed below are some of the new and out of print titles in stock which you may be interested in. A full list of stock is given on our website.

A Voyage Through Time: The Masis Collection of Horological Masterpieces
Richard Chadwick

NEW. The Masis Collection of pocket watches is privately owned and very comprehensive, it encompasses over 400 years of the watchmaker's, enameller's and goldsmith's art and craft. Beautifully illustrated, the book is a journey through the development of the mechanical watch and also shows the artistic progression of watch case decoration. The collection is particularly rich in examples of gloriously painted Geneva enamels and the beautiful enamel watches made for export to China and Turkey in the early years of the 19th century. A large and beautiful book, housed in a high quality box with printed front and spine.

416 pages, illustrated, 2020.
