O/P. 195 lots, many illustrated. A fine collection of pocket watches formed by Ferdinand Lammot Belin, an American who began collecting in 1917. The collection included several watches by Breguet, a half quarter-repeating chronometer by Earnshaw, and a clockwatch with alarm by Nicolas Volant. A very good copy, card covers. O/P. The auction catalogue for this famous collection containing 500 items, most of them illustrated. The sale was held in New York on 28 June 1993. Many of the clocks were French dating from the 19th century but the collection also included clocks from other European countries as well as from America. Very good copy, card covers.
