O/P. 295 pages, figures. The 1970 facsimile of the horological sections of Rees's Cyclopaedia. This book has a lot of information on chronometers, clocks, horological tools, compensated balances, dials and dialling, escapements, pendulums and their compensation, remontoirs, etc. An interesting book factually and historically. Good copy, the dust jacket faded. (Ref: BBW296)

Robinson (T.R.): Modern Clocks, Their Repair and Maintenance
O/P. 193 pages, 148 figures, 2nd edition, 1943. A book about clock movements produced in the 1920's and 30's with good information on electric clocks and movements of the period. The book has a chapter of drawings of electric and clockwork driven clock movements in production in 1939. Clean copy internally, annotations inside front cover, covers marked. (Ref: BB212)

Robinson (T.): The Longcase Clock
O/P. 467 pages, well illustrated, 1st edition, reprinted 1989. This is one of the best books on the subject and essential reading for all collectors and enthusiasts; all editions are now out of print. A good copy, binding slightly loose, with poor dust jacket. (Ref: BB97)

A detailed catalogue of early watches in the British Museum all with the stackfreed, a device for controlling the spring force prior to the adoption of the fusee. Thompson (D.): The British Museum Watches
O/P. 175 pages, 270 illustrations, 2008. A book telling the story of the watch, describing and illustrating 77 watches selected from the magnificent collection of watches held by The British Museum. The earliest example was made circa 1560, the latest in 2007. Each watch is illustrated in colour with excellent photographs of dial, movement and case. A good copy of the original hardback edition, with good dust jacket, but with two bruised corners. (Ref: BB293)
