The title translates as How to manage and regulate Clocks and Watches for those who have no knowledge of horology. This was probably the first owners' manual for watch and clock owners and provides an insight into looking after domestic clocks in the 18th century. A very good copy, the pages (size 14 x 9.5 cm) generally clean and bright, the plates a little browned, minor foxing to end papers, in 19th century quarter-leather binding with gilt lettering and tooling to spine, with marbled boards and end papers.
