This was probably the first owners' manual for watch and clock owners and provides an insight into looking after domestic clocks in the 18th century. A very good copy, the pages (size 14 x 9.5 cm) generally clean and bright, the plates a little browned, minor foxing to end papers, in 19th century quarter-leather binding with gilt lettering and tooling to spine, with marbled boards and end papers.
