A very detailed study of the famous astronomical clock in Strasbourg Cathedral made by Jean Baptiste Schwilgué between 1838 and 1842, with full details of the movement and the dials. The book also includes everything that is known about the two earlier clocks in the Cathedral. A good copy, minor spotting to first few pages, binding a bit loose, one page loose, corners a bit bumped, owners name on ffep. A rare item. [French language]
