The full title is Horological Disquisitions Concerning the Nature of Time, and the Reasons why all Days, from Noon to Noon, are not alike Twenty Four Hours long. This is John Smith's second book, it explains the difference between solar time and a 24 hour (mean time) day. The first table shows the difference between a solar day and a 24 hour day for every day of the year, the second table is an equation table arranged so that by setting a clock on ten specified days in the year it will always be within 3¾ minutes of solar time.
