A good book on weight driven French clocks from the 16th to the beginning of the 19th century, including gothic style clocks for church buildings and domestic houses, and lantern clocks. Two additional volumes were planned for comtoise clocks but I can find no evidence that they were ever published. A very good copy but, as so often with books published by Tardy, the paper covering the boards is splitting along the spine. [French language]
